Nikkei Nipo-Brazilian Cuisine
Sushi - Steak House - Cocktail Bar
In 1908 the Kasato Maru docked in the port of Santos where the first Japanese arrived in Brazil as
labor for the coffee plantations. The Japanese diet was far from the Brazilian,
but luckily Brazil was a nation rich in fish, rice, fruits and vegetables. From there the
Nikkei Nipo-Brazilian cuisine, which after more than a century has been acquiring
world fame and a strong identity of its own.
